This girl has been busy!!!

Well for those of you who don't know I am now a serious student. I've done two semesters  and have gotten straight A's. I'm working to get all my prerequisites for the nursing program. The counselor informed me that to get into the nursing program quickly you have to have a high GPA. So that is my ultimate goal. I've been driving Dale crazy the last few months. He's the lucky man I vent to when I'm worried about a test, papers and assignments. He is such a great support.
SLCC is the only community college to require and e-portfolio. I just got done with mine here.

Its nothing fancy and needs extensive work to be done. I thought I would just put it on this blog so I can remember the URL address.

Life is great right now, I feel truly blessed and I'm so grateful for all the family and friends that I have. Dale and I are just working hard and playing hard. We've been able to go on several adventures this past year and are planning more to come. I work grave yards from home right now. I seriously have the best job! It fits perfect with my life, nights are slow so I can work on homework or anything that needs to get done. Maybe I can even update my blog more often. My house is much more organized and clean. I just love being home.

Big Day for the Carringtons!

Well most of you know Dale and I have been looking for a house. Our one bedroom one bath apartment just isn't big enough for us any more. Plus we want Evie to have a big yard to run around in. So we have been looking and we think we found the one. We put in an offer today so we will see if we get it. But we LOVE LOVE love this house. It has everything we want in a home. Three bedrooms and three bath. It has a basement and room for food storage. It has a beautiful back yard with a lovely porch with a lifted vegetable garden and a lovely water pond. Yes a pond. We are so excited and we hope to get this little home. Its a great starter home! We will keep you posted.

Six months.

Can you believe I've been married for SIX MONTHS already!!! I think its super crazy that its been that long. I feel like I've known him much longer then I have. I keep thinking about how we first met. If you can't remember your more then welcome to read about it here. He is the reason why I believe in soul mates.

The number one thing people ask us when they see us is, "How is married life." Dale and I have talked about it and we aren't really sure how to answer it. As weird as it is to say this, it doesn't feel like we are married. Nothing has really changed except for the marriage "perks." I'm sure we all know what I'm talking about. Marriage life has been great I feel like I'm married to my best friend and I love that I get to spend so much time with him. Of course there has been some minor adjustments and things that we have had to get use to but its been a great six months. I'm so in love with Dale and I fall more and more in love with him as time goes by.
Dale and I have been talking about it for a while about the things that we have learned about being married.

Here is what we came up with......

-Husband doesn't like cooking any more because he says he doesn't make it as good as I do.
(Makes me so happy that I found a new talent that I never thought I had)
-Showers are so much better with your husband.
-Husband is AMAZING and will go on EMERGENCY chocolate
runs.
-Husband uses all the toilet paper.
-When wife can't go to sleep she doesn't let her Husband go to sleep either. (Poor Husband)
-Husband and I are addicted to Dexter.
-Husband leaves trails of where he has been in the house.
-Wife always thinks she's pregnant when she isn't and went and bought an excessive amount of pregnancy tests. (All have come back negative so far)
-Wife gets so lonely when Husbands not around so they decided to get a baby. (Dog Evie)
-Husband is the best helper.
-Husband knows how to calm his wife when she is having a serious melt down.
-Wife has decided that Husband is the best adventure companion she could ever ask for.
-Husband and Wife made a super bucket list and we have actually scratched some major stuff off.
-Husband surprises his wife with a trip to London and Paris in September for their one year anniversary.

Life is good!

Things on my mind

We finally were able to get our Christmas tree up. I’m very pleased,it looks really pretty. We listened to Christmas music while putting up the decorations.

Since I’ve been married I love cooking. I never was a fan of cooking before I married Dale. I always convinced myself that I would burn it or it wouldn’t taste good. But since being married and having to cook. I’ve just enjoy it and I’m quite good at it. Dale loves my cooking and always goes back for seconds. That is probably the reason why I love cooking so much because Dale makes me feel so special.

I love trying new recipes. Makes cooking fun. In the picture above I decided to make “Taco Bake” featured in Camille’s blog. Seemed easy enough. Plus it helped that we already had all the ingredients. Smelt delicious and tasted YUMMY! Dale added it on his list of yummy things I make for him.

I’m also taking cooking lessons from Dales Aunt Myra. Just so I learn some of the families recipes.

Before

After

This was a mirror that I found at the DI for a $1 I couldn’t pass it up. Turn out pretty cool and is now hanging up in our bathroom.

This is another thing we found at the DI. We love it but not the color. We decided to paint it bright red but we haven’t had the time (do to the weather) to finish it. When we do I’ll post it.

Thats whats been on my mind these past couple of days. Also I’ve been updating my blog. Lots of fun things are ahead and I’m excited to post about them. Tell then.
